Een andere techniek die ik regelmatig gebruik, is die van drippings, 1. omdat het super makkelijk is en 2.omdat het zo'n veelzijdige toepassingen heeft.

Another technique I like to use, is the one of dripping. 1. it's very easy to do and 2. the possibilities are endless.

Ik maakte er o.a. een kaart mee voor A. Hij werd 60 en is de enige man in onze kalligrafie'club'. Vandaar...

I made a birthday card for A. He turned 60 and is the only man in our calligraphy group....

Happy birthday to you, A.  !

Beek +punk and graphics

Na het maken van de collages vorige week, heb ik de tijd gehad om ééntje verder af te werken, lees: te voorzien van tekst. Aangezien ik met blauwe kleuren werkte, koos ik ook een tekst in hetzelfde thema 'beek' van Toon Hermans.

I've found the time to finish (= add the text) one of the collage projects I did last week.
Since I worked with blueish colours, I decided on the poem 'beek' (=stream in English) by Toon Hermans.

En vorige week bezocht ik ook de tentoonstelling 'punk en grafiek' in het designmuseum in Brussel. Ik laat jullie even meegenieten:

And last week I visited the exhibition 'Punk and graphics' in the deign museum in Brussels. I thought it was great !

collage projects

dag iedereen,

een aantal weken geleden, volgde ik een workshop (o.l.v. Linda Truyers) over een collage-techniek met tijdschriften.
En zoals je kan zien, zijn er weer een heleboel mogelijkheden hiermee !

The possibilities are endless, as you can see, so this won't be my last time...


Ook op grafiek-vlak heb ik niet stilgezeten. Deze werden zopas afgedrukt..
I also did some printing work in my evening class.

gemengde ets techniek: lijnets + aquatint / mixed etching technique

links: spitbite ets, rechts: idem met linoverf / left: spitbite etching with an extra layer of lino paint.

Met deze laatste wil ik ook wel eens iets in kleur proberen, maar dat zien jullie een andere keer !
I'd like to try something with colour too on this last etching, but that will be for a next time !

De kaartjes die ik 2 weken geleden postte, heb ik nu voorzien van een korte tekst, zodat ik ze kan gebruiken voor verjaardag of als rouwkaartjes.

These are the cards again I posted 2 weeks ago. I've now added some text so that they can be used as birthday or sympathy cards.
