 One of my favourite quotes, this time in a playful variation of the foundational and coloured with watercolour.

 Nog eens een paar 'rozetkaarten' gemaakt voor verjaardagen die op komst zijn. Het effect is altijd leuk.

I made a few birthday cards in different shapes; always nice when the recipient unfolds the flower with a wish on.

 Nog een oefening die ik maakte; een combinatie van een grote letter (foundational) met de kleintjes.

Another exercise: combination of big foundational with the little ones.

 Ik probeerde dezelfde quote van vorige week eens op een andere manier uit te werken:

 I tried to rework the same quote from last week in a different way:

ik dacht dat er wat kleur ontbrak  - I thought some colour was missing ...

 

so I added some, but I don't see much difference, to be honest - maar ik zie de meerwaarde niet echt..

Dus ging ik er nog een keer over, gewoon met stift. De beste versie misschien ,maar nog niet 100 % tevreden. Nu ja, kan gebeuren.....

 So I went over it again, just with a marker pen. Perhaps the best version, but still not 100% satisfied. Oh well, these things happen...

 thinking with someone else's head.  This is a quote from A. Schopenhauer, the philosopher, which I recently saw hanging at ‘De Standaard’, a bookshop here in our town. Quite clever, isn't it?

Lezen is denken met andermans hoofd. Dit is een quote van A.Schopenhauer, de filosoof en zag ik onlangs hangen bij "De Standaard", een  boekhandel hier bij ons. Wel goed gevonden,niet ?

 

Good of niet goed; ik gebruikte de slogan in 1 van de huiswerkjes voor de foundational-les.

Clever or not; I used the quote for 1 of the assignments for my Carolingian class .

 Ja, hoor; ook in het nieuwe jaar moet geoefend worden ! Hier opnieuw het Karolingisch schrift (of foundational), maar in een dikkere, bredere versie.

Yes, that's right; practice is still necessary, also in the new year! Here again  the Carolingian script (or foundational), but in a thicker, wider version.
