flowery 75th birthday

 Het was de 75ste verjaardag van mijn moeder vorige donderdag. Blauw is haar lievelingskleur, dus schilderde ik deze aquarelbloemen voor haar met een gepaste tekst in potlood.

Last Thursday was my Mum's 75 th birthday. Her favourite colour is blue, so I painted these watercolour flowers for her and an appropriate text in pencil.

boxes + thinking outside the box

 Uit een aantal oefenbladen maakte ik deze  doosjes, in verschillende maten en hoogtes. Altijd handig om op voorraad te hebben .

From some practice sheets I made these 4 boxes, in different sizes and heights. Always handy to have in stock .Nothing special, just some basic boxes.

Ook maakte ik ong 30 mini-doosjes als probeersel om samen in een compositie op te plakken.

I also made about 30 baby boxes attempting a nice composition, gluing them all together.

op een karton samengelegd op zoek naar een goeie compositie-piecing them together looking for a pleasing composition.

 Ik had nog een (mislukt)werkje liggen dat ik beplakte met theezakjes  en daarop heb ik dan de doosjes bevestigd. In de meeste doosjes heb ik dan letters geplakt die samen 'thinking outside the box' vormen.

I found a previous project I wasn't really happy with, so I glued some tea bags on top. Then I glued the baby boxes down and cut out letters from old magazines. Together it reads 'thinking outside the box'.
