spring's in the air - lente in zicht ?

 Deze week was het (weeral) hectisch op het werk en eerlijk gezegd heb ik ook wat geprofiteerd van het buitengewoon mooie weer. Daardoor had ik helaas geen tijd meer om creatief te zijn. Sorry !...

Onderweg naar het werk eergisteren ben ik wel even gestopt om dit nieuwe leven in de berm even te bewonderen.

new life makes me happy...

I've been extremely busy with work this week and to be honest I've also enjoyed the exceptionally warm weather (15-20 ° C) so no time to play. Sorry....

On my way to work the day before yesterday, I just had to stop the car for a minute to enjoy this new life on the soft shoulder of the road.

 

 

ideas for 'flipkonijn'

 Omdat ik het project van An-Eline (zie vorige post) zo tof vind, heb ik besloten om zelf ook deel te nemen. Uit een selectie mocht ik zelf een gedicht kiezen; het heet "flipkonijn".

Because I liked Ann-Eline's project (from the previous blog post) so much, I wanted to participate as well and from a selection I chose the poem "flipkonijn". A word which is very difficult to translate into English, so maybe you can help !

A 'konijn' in Dutch is a rabbit and a 'flipkonijn' is a person who (just like a rabbit) can lose it because of stress or can go berserk. Would there be a word in English with this meaning ? Please let me know !!

Veel kan ik er uiteraard nog niet over kwijt, aangezien de expo pas in het najaar (oktober/november) plaats vindt. Wél kan ik de eerste voorzichtige pasjes tonen.De rest zal een verrassing worden, want ik weet zelf nog niet hoe het zal gaan worden.

Of course I can't tell you much about it yet, since the exposition will only take place at the end of the year (October-November probably). I can, however, show you my first ,careful 'steps ' into this new project. The end result will be a surprise, even to myself !

 

 

snippets poetry - knipselpoëzie

 Een paar weken geleden zag ik toevallig op het plaatselijk TVstation ROB, een reportage over het werk van Ann-Eline Van Rompuy. Zij maakt met krantenknipsels prachtige poëzie. Ga zeker eens kijken hoe zij dat doet hier

A couple of weeks ago I saw a coverage on the work of Ann-Eline Van Rompuy on our local tv station ROB. She creates the most amazing texts and poetry with the help of words cut out of newspapers. you can see what she does and how she does it here .

 En aangezien ik nog steeds wat aan't 'rommelen' ben met potloodletters, gebruikte ik een van haar teksten in deze oefening.

Since I'm still fiddling with my pencil lettering, it was nice to  to use one of her texts in this exercise.
